“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”
― Oprah Winfrey
I wish you all a WONDERFUL new year. May you have health, money, happiness and may you be surrounded by loved ones!
I have not been very active on this blog lately. The reason for my long absence was some challenges I had been facing on the professional front. Finally I made the hard decision and quit my job of ten years. It wasn’t easy for me but it has been quite a relief. Other reason was that I have been writing regularly on hubpages for last couple of months. But I promise to be regular here in 2016.
Hence starting today, there will be a new post every single day for the next 30 days. Yes, a blog marathon! It’s not easy as it is a huge challenge to post every day and takes discipline & commitment. But I intend to show up daily and write!
And meanwhile you can check out my posts on hubpages. You can find some interesting poems and articles on astrology and Tarot on my page. Here is the link http://hubpages.com/@swalia
I have been away from this blog for a while due to various reasons. Work and my astrology classes have been keeping me busy but that doesn’t mean that I have forgotten all my precious readers here. Life has been pretty tough since last couple of months but challenges have made me stronger and wiser (I think so!). But God has been kind and through all the ups and downs, faith is what kept me going.
Earlier this month, I went to Rishikesh to meet my master H.H.Sri Sri Ravishankar and yesterday, I got the most amazing surprise when a friend called up to congratulate me. Through her, I came to know that my poem ‘An Ode To The Master’ has been published in the April edition of ‘Rishimukh’- Art of Living’s monthly magazine.
My poem in Rishimukh with a beautiful picture of Guruji in the backdrop! It’s like a dream come true!
Thank you Guruji for everything!

If any given day, you don’t feel special; look at what gifts are sent by the heavens. Take a glimpse of the sun, hear the birds chirp around, look at the beauty of the flowers, and so much more! And if these all fail to make you happy, gaze into the mirror while you wear a HUGE smile – unerringly you’ll have a beautiful day! Good morning folks!
One of the sites where I have been spending quite a lot of time lately to pass the time and make extra cash is Bubblews.
I came across Bubblews while reading one of the blogs I have subscribed to. I really enjoy writing and interacting on that site.
Bubblews is unique in the sense that they pay you for what you write. They pay you when you reach the minimum limit of 50$ and you can write about anything. It currently takes me about ten days to reach payout, so it’s an easy goal to reach.
I have refrained from writing about Bubblews here so far because I wanted to be sure it’s not a scam. But yes, they do pay! I have got three successful redemptions so far. So they are definitely legitimate and it’s really fun hanging out there and share your world!
Hope to see you there!

Hi there. Just a quick post today to wish you all a very happy new year. Like the waves of the sea, may this New Year bring you the rare shells of happiness, surprise, love, success and lots of new treasures. Happy New Year!
And to any new readers scouring the internet for suggestions of New Years resolutions, I have one for you ~ Do random acts of kindness every day. Pass on a smile to a stranger, send across a gift to a loved one, hug a friend, express your feelings to the one you love, adopt an animal, sponsor a child’s education, share a meal with someone, read a book to a child, pledge your organs, plant a tree – there is so much you can do! Think beyond yourself. Make this the year of miracles!
My resolution this year is to be kind and compassionate to all and do random acts of kindness everyday.Join me in my journey and be inspired to let go of grudges & embrace love and compassion for all. Remove Hate, Lust, Jealousy, Grudge, Animosity, and Greed from your dictionary this New Year and replace them with Love, Commitment, Support, Compassion, Honesty and Contentment.
